A shopping mall in Southeast Asia wanted a centerpiece that would stop visitors mid-step: a fully spherical, seamless LED ball suspended as the focal point of its atrium. The finished sphere measures 4 meters in diameter and displays at a resolution of 6280 × 3140 pixels, built on an indoor spherical LED display at P2 pixel pitch.

The Brief
Spherical displays are among the most demanding LED formats. Every module sits on a curved surface, so cabinets must be custom-shaped to follow the geometry precisely; any gap or color drift becomes obvious as the eye moves around the ball. The client needed a true seamless sphere, uniform brightness and color at every viewing angle, a lightweight structure that was safe to suspend above a public area, and content that could wrap naturally around 360 degrees.
Our Solution
We supplied an indoor spherical LED display at P2 (2 mm) pixel pitch, built to form a complete 4-meter sphere. At P2, the pixel grid maps closely onto the sphere's circumference: 6280 pixels × 2 mm = 12.56 m, which matches π × 4 m (the equator circumference), and 3140 pixels × 2 mm = 6.28 m, roughly half the circumference from pole to pole. That clean mapping is what lets the 6280 × 3140 pixel image wrap the sphere without distortion.
Each module was shaped and calibrated as part of a matched set, so color and brightness stay consistent across the whole surface and the seams effectively disappear. The supporting structure was engineered to keep the unit light enough for safe overhead suspension while remaining rigid, and the system supports 360-degree content playback for advertising and branded visuals.

Installation and Support
Because spherical screens are assembled module by module on site, planning matters as much as the hardware. We delivered a fully tested, correctly sequenced module set together with the layout documentation the installation team needed, so the sphere could be assembled with consistent gaps and a fast, clean switch-on.
